Description

CHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital  60-bed  inpatient Rehab hospital to serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare and located in Tacoma, Washington.

 Full-time Unit Secretary - Nursing Department  will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the nursing team
  • Scheduling and coordinating services and appointments for patients
  • Answering incoming calls and screening/receiving visitors to the hospital
  • Preparing and entering patient-related information into computer systems
  • Maintaining organized paper and electronic records for the department

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Two or more years of health unit coordination or secretarial experience, preferably in a hospital setting 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with patients, hospital staff and the public

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Flexible and able to adapt to continually changing priorities

  • Computer literate

  • Current BLS (CPR) certification
