Occupational Therapist - PT - CHI Franciscan/KindredTacoma, Washington
CHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital is abeautiful new 60-bed hospital that opened in May 2018 to care for patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. This hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare. When you come to work here, you will be joining an interdisciplinary team where doctors, nurses, therapists and other experts work together to form individualized care plans for our patients and residents.
As an Occupational Therapist / OT your responsibilities will include:
After evaluating your patients' condition, you'll develop specialized treatment plans to help them regain functionality and well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices
Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members
Provide instruction and education to patients' family members and other caregivers as well as to other members of the inter-disciplinary team
Document patient care in accordance with hospital, regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
Effective oral and written communication skills in English with additional languages preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification.
