RN- SCHOOL NURSE Department of Education (DOE)

Nport Staffing/Kindred, a leader in the professional healthcare industry, has openings for RN’s, (Registered Nurses’) in the NYC Metro Area We are currently looking for registered nurses who have at least 2 years of experience in an Acute Long/Short Term Care facility, Hospital, DOE, or Home care.

The function of the School Nurse are as follows:

  • Registered Nurse will function as a health care provider within the school environment.
  • RN will be responsible for the nursing process to access, plan, implement and evaluate the health needs of students
  • RN will be responsible for case identification and for promoting an optimal level of wellness for students
  • Registered Nurse at the school serves as resource person to school and community regarding health issues
  • School Registered Nurse will prepare monthly reports for evaluation and on going needs assessment.

The Registered Nurse shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program bachelor’s degree preferred, approved by board of nursing in practicing state and hold an applicable and current license to practice.
