Recreational Therapist - Part TimeMarquette, Michigan
QUALIFICATIONS:
The incumbent shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of a bachelor’s degree therapeutic recreation program (or foreign equivalent), and hold an applicable and current license/certification to practice. Certification by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists is preferred. Education/experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is preferred. Education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is preferred. Computer and current technology competence.
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing a full range of recreation therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The incumbent shall provide recreation therapy services both independently and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion. The incumbent shall be accountable for carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with Kindred CORE values.
