We are recruiting for a Senior Reimbursement Analyst to join our Reimbursement Department in Louisville, Kentucky.


Actively participate in the preparation, analysis and submission of Medicaid/Medicare cost reports, complete settlement accruals based on interim cost reports, support management in all reimbursement related matters for assigned facilities.  Senior analyst must be a career oriented professional, comfortable in an environment of continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Actively participate in department’s mission to prepare, review and submit Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.

  • Reviews, or prepares monthly revenue and contractual adjustment accruals.

  • Updates Medicare rate assumptions, investigates payment discrepancies.

  • Coordinates audits of assigned facilities.  Responds to proposed audit adjustments.

  • Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts and reviews PIP accounts monthly.

  • Assists management in development of policies, procedures, reports and other tools to improve work product.

  • May prepare various financial or statistical analyses, reconciliations, research, or other special projects as necessary  


  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
  • Proficient use of cost reporting software, and MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, systems or other degree with equivalent experience.    


  • 3-5 years cost reporting, third party accounting, or other reimbursement experience, as typically received from a hospital, healthcare chain organization, Medicare Administrative Contractor or similar.

  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
