We are recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst to join ScionHealth.    


The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Operations provides financial analysis and analytics support to Operations and across the Community Hospital Division. Creates and maintains various monthly/weekly reports, models, and ad hoc analyses. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.   

Prepare and present analysis of hospital and physician practice operating results on a monthly and quarterly basis and monitor routine weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for presentation to management. 

Provide support role to the finance teams and division in the preparation of fiscal year budgets and month end close procedures. 

Assure the integrity of balance sheets through management of the post-closing review process and periodic balance sheet reviews. 

Monitor and regulate standardized Chart of Accounts and statistical definitions for consistency and accuracy in reporting. 

Provide analytical support to the net revenue calculations including creation of hindsight studies, interpretation of hindsight results, and ad hoc revenue analysis. 

Create business analytics tools within specific business intelligence platforms to supplement both division and local hospital discussion. 

Monitor staffing and labor utilization performance of division hospitals and report to management. Provide education, tools, and support to facility management for staffing and productivity management. 

Serve as liaison with internal and external stakeholders in providing required financial reports and information. 

Support newly acquired facilities to integrate disparate financial systems to ScionHealth’s standard financial reporting requirements. 

Provide support to the Director, Financial Operations as needed or requested. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. 

Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. 

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. 

Exhibit a basic understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).  Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. 

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and state regulatory environments as needed. 


Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Systems.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years.
