Senior Director, Growth and Development, Behavioral Health Louisville, Kentucky
We are recruiting for a Senior Director, Growth and Development to join our Behavioral Health Department in Louisville, Kentucky.
Responsible for establishing global sales targets for Behavioral Health in collaboration with Operations and Finance. Responsbile for developing and implemeting plans to meet and exceed the sales goals for total facilities, total beds, revenue and margin for Behavioral Health. The position identifies, solicits and presents the Kindred Behavioral Health service offering to select Hospital systems and JV Partners. The Senior Director, Growth and Development works closely with Operations, Finance, Legal/Contracting and Clinical departments to sign new business.
Essential Functions: (Those functions that the individual who holds the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation).
Plans and implements sales strategy as it relates to the development and achievement of assigned sales goals.
Thorough grasp of the company and portfolio offerings presented to potential clients through prospecting, sales calls and presentations.
Works with members of Operations and the Support Center to assist in closing business and generating contracts.
Identifies and markets to potential clients through a variety of methods to include cold calls, introduction letter/emails, phone calls, trade shows and other events as assigned.
Coordinates proforma calls with Finance and Operations to produce pricing and usage analysis for potential clients.
Keeps on-going knowledge of in-market competitors and their offerings, pricing and operations model.
Communicates on a regular and on-going basis with Ops counterparts via conference calls, meetings and other events as scheduled.
Coordinates and responds to all Requests for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of Kindred Behavioral Health.
- 2-3 days/week of travel expected.
Maintains and develops relationships with State Healthcare Associations, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and other Healthcare Groups that can impact our business.
- Demonstrated ability and experience to sell to hospitals.
- Strong presentation/public speaking skills.
Comfortable interacting with targeted Owners/Administrators to concisely present our behavioral health offerings.
Ability to quickly craft a specific value proposition to address potential client's key concerns and win business.
Demonstrated competence in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Power Point.
Working knowledge of regulatory/reimbursement/compliance guidelines for both skilled and non-skilled clients.
Strong grasp of the financial workings of our proforma process.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
Approximate percent of time required to travel: 50%
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Degree in Business, Marketing and/or healthcare related concentration preferred.
Minimum 10 years Sales and Business Development experience in Business to Business sales. Experience in either acute and/or long term care sales preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a sales territory, form business relationships inside and outside of the company and show solid financial understanding of revenue, cost, margin and long term care reimbursement.
Depending on a candidate’s qualifications, this position may be filled at a different level.
