We are recruiting for a Market Analyst to join our Strategic Planning Department in Louisville, Kentucky.

Job Summary:

Develop and maintain databases, software and reporting tools for market analysis and internal research.  Conduct complex analyses of external and internal data to support planning and development, sales and marketing, operations and policy research for the Company and its Divisions.


Essential Functions: (Those functions that the individual who holds the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation).

  • Develop and maintain SQL and Microsoft Access databases containing external and internal information regarding health care facilities and utilization, managed care and demographics.

  • Develop and maintain internal and external applications to access the databases and produce standard and custom reports and maps.  Investigate and advise regarding new software products and applications.

  • Conduct custom analyses regarding market demand, operational trends and regulatory issues.  Respond to requests from corporate departments and the field for data and technical assistance.

  • Liaison with Information Systems regarding internal data access, Business and Data Warehouses and software certification.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations:

  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, database concepts, and database administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems and Python a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to extract, interpret data from a variety of resources.

  • Ability to present research in concise and coherent manner for use in internal and client presentations.

  • Ability to self-direct & self-pace.
  • Work schedule flexibility.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Approximate percent of time required to travel:   None.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Computer Science, Business or other related field.

  • Three years in database development, report design and development, geographic information systems.  Three years in market analysis, preferably in the health care industry.  Experience with statistical analysis methods preferred.
