We are recruiting for a Manager, Payroll Projects to join our Payroll Department in Louisville, Kentucky.

Summary:

Manages a staff of analysts responsible for support of payroll and timekeeping systems from a functional perspective and the use of these systems to economize, streamline processing, and support ad hoc reporting  needs.  Plans and executes projects to accommodate acquisitions, dispositions, system conversions, system enhancements/changes, and special projects.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides day-to-day staff supervision, training, development, and retention

  • Manages and/or provides support with payroll system conversions, upgrades, changes and enhancements, acquisitions, dispositions, coordinating testing, implementation and field communication.

  • Provides support for the development and rollout of timekeeping system conversions, upgrades, changes and enhancements from functional perspective.

  • Applies advanced technology and tools in the analysis, design and development of complicated ad hoc reports to meet the needs of facilities, Legal and other Support Center departments, management and regulatory agencies.

  • Analyzes current reporting needs, defines specifications, develops and executes project plans for implementation or training of reporting tools.

  • Facilitates development and presentation of training materials designed to further knowledge of payroll systems, taxes, regulatory issues, and other payroll related practices. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of system development and related project management methodology

  • Advanced report writing, data extraction and warehousing knowledge

  • Project/team leadership skills

  • Analytical skills

  • Approximate percent of time required to travel:   2


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems or combined education/experience equivalent

  • 3+ years system development and project management experience for large projects
