We are recruiting a Director, Recruiting Services to support our Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health Divisions.  This will be a remote position.


Directs development and implementation of recruitment strategies and staffing plans to identify and recruit qualified candidates at all levels of the Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health Divisions in support of overall divisional goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Recruits, hires, and supervises the recruiters for the rehab and behavioral health divisions.  Provides coaching and guidance to the recruiters in developing successful recruiting approaches in their regions.
  • Develps and tracks recruiter productivity to comply with standards set by the strategic plans of the facilities and Divisions.
  • Manages the recruiting and selection activities to employ, place, and/or transfer internal and external candidates to ensure adequate staffing.  Identifies sources of candidates, initiates and maintains relationships with outside sources, oversees development of job descriptions, employee selection, and hiring decisions.
  • Serves as a principal source of expert advise, consultation and education in staffing and recruitment strategy.
  • Develops and manages the rehab and behavioral health national advertising plans, to include trade shows, target audiences and states in which the organization has the strongest presence.
  • Develops recruiting tools, to include national advertising campaigns, social media strategies, marketing pieces and follow-up materials.
  • Assures that all functionality of the Kindred Applicant Tracking System (Taleo) are used by recruiters to assure maximum productivity.
  • Develops and monitors recruitment expenses and budget targets.
  • Works closely with the operateors to train and manage the recruitment process.
  • Keeps management apprised of recruitment strategies, negotiations, and status of open positions.


  • Advanced recruiting knowledge, including employment law, candidate identification and sourcing strategies at all levels.
  • Strong managerial/leadership skills.
  • Strong “sales orientation” in order to train and motivate recruiting staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to make professional presentations to all levels of management.
  • Very good computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Taleo Applicant Tracking System strongly preferred.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data, make improvement adjustments and prepare reports.
  • Ability to use independent judgment in decision making.
  • Ability to manage and impart confidential information appropriately.



  • Bachelor's degree in related field.


  • 7+ years recruiting experience, including 5 years in a management position.  Strong preference for past recruitment responsibility of a regional or national multi-site organization.
  • Management and Executive level recruiting experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
