We are recruiting for a Director, Implementation Services to join our Information Systems Department in Louisville, KY


Oversees and directs the policies, procedures, and activities of the system implementation and installation teams in completing successful system installation and integration projects for all system types at all facilities.

  • Plans, organizes, negotiates, staffs, directs, and controls all aspects (from cable-plant installation to computer systems setup, scheduling and training) of advanced computer system installation and integration projects for all systems types and facilities, including contracted business partners.

  • Manages budget, staffing, training, communication, and ongoing plans for all projects to ensure desired results are achieved.

  • Manages contractual and business relationships with vendors assisting with staffing and performance of implementation-related duties.

  • Develop and maintain improved departmental processes to ensure that the same basic quality standards are applied to all implementations.  Examples would be Executive Briefings, Go/No-Go processes, Self-Sufficiency reviews and Turnover to Support.

  • Performs complex budgeting exercises to determine cost and feasibility of various large-scale projects that may affect all locations companywide.

  • Negotiate deliverables and project plans/schedules with other I/S departments and with stake-holders in company’s business units.

  • Oversees and manages the administration of the function assigned, including full budget and staff responsibility.  Ensures employees receive training, development, coaching, and motivation for effective performance and retention.

  • Provide necessary feedback from hospitals, divisions, other corporate departments, and vendors to corporate IS management concerning system improvements and solutions to ongoing installation problems. 


  • Exceptional logic and reasoning abilities, and capacity to deal with many projects and strategies simultaneously.

  • Excellent detail skills to track budgets, verify invoices against plan, manage hundreds of details associated with complex implementations.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven management skills to deal with managers and staff in complex business situations with little scheduling latitude.

  • Commitment to deadlines and deliverables.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time.


  • Bachelor's degree in Information systems or related field.
  • 10+ years computer systems experience, including major project management and customer care activities with at least 5 years solid project and staff management experience.
Depending on candidate’s qualifications, this position may be filled at a different level.
