Texas Rehabilitation Hospital Keller is located in beautiful Keller, TX that is a joint venture between Texas Health Resource and Kindred Healthcare. It is a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital serve patients recovering from strokes and other long-term illnesses or injuries and feature specialized clinical programs.
We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated health care professionals that pride themselves in providing quality patient care. Our facilities have a prominent reputation in the community for providing excellent rehabilitation services. After evaluating your patient's condition, you'll develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery. Responsibilities Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs. Document patient care in accordance with Kindred Healthcare Rehabilitation, regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition. Qualifications- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas or be eligible for temporary license with supervision based on current state guidelines.
- Graduate from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English with additional languages preferred
- Current CPR certification.
