District Director Supply Chain OperationsHouston, Texas
The Regional Director of Supply Chain Operations ensures that all medical and non-medical supplies and services critical to the delivery of care to our patients are procured and managed in the most effective and efficient manner possible. The Regional Supply Chain Director has certain autonomy in decision-making and will be accountable for leading the planning and making the decisions regarding complex issues that have an impact on multiple stakeholders across their areas of responsibility. These decisions could relate to contracting, compliance, staffing, budgets, supply/service spend, service delivery, logistics, planning, equipment rental, or capital purchasing.
This position is responsible for leading the planning, development and implementation of area hospital strategic initiatives in Supply Chain Operations including quality, utilization, cost, working capital, day-to-day operations, service and human resource management. It ensures compliance with established district and national goals and standards. Additionally, this position acts as the key leader and driver of standardization and change management across the sites in the adoption and institutionalization of any Supply Chain transformation projects. To be successful in this position, the regional leader must be able to lead and manage professionals and others through influence and collaboration across multiple teams or sites. A demonstrated proficiency in team building and motivation, conflict resolution, and group dynamics as well as solid project management skills is essential. Also, this person must have a demonstrated ability to utilize effective verbal and written communication skills with various levels across an organization as well as across diverse populations.
As a Regional Director of Supply Chain Operations you will have:
- 5 or more years of experience in supply chain, management and budgeting experience, including managing/leading non-exempt and exempt employees
5 or more years of experience dealing with multiple corporate structures, entities and/or multi-facility or location oversight
Current Six Sigma certification preferred and/or 3 or more years process improvement experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies or similar
3 or more years working in a retail, manufacturing, or health care environment preferred
3 or more years of experience in demand planning, SKU rationalization and standardization, and GS1 standards
