Kindred Commercial Biller Open position
Our large Healthcare Organization is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to work in our Central Business Office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing with the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and reduce A/R days. The successful applicant will work on a number of tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation and exercising judgement within the appropriate scope of practice. Job Responsibilities:
- Submit billing data to insurance providers
- Responsible for submitting Primary Clean Claim through Assurance (billing software)
- Ensure all Primary Claims are billed in sequence order
- Accurately bill claims for specific payers that require Stoploss, 15 day interims, 60 day, or, Admit through Discharge payers
- Daily review Insurance Matrix to ensure correct mnemonic is used and account proration is accurately reflected in Meditech prior to billing Claim
- Request Medical Records when necessary through MRO
- Ability to submit coding issues through CMR Tracker
- Work Daily Pools specific to facilities assigned
- Review and work daily Unbilled Report
- Must meet or exceed daily quota of 30 accounts per day
- Work and Status Artiva accounts
- Responsible for Billing 2ndry Claims, Corrected Claims and Rebills when applicable
- Respond to all e-mails from Management staff and other departments timely
- Add Billing canned text and important documentation in Meditech
- Work closely with Pre-Billers to ensure account setup in Meditech is correct and all Payer information is enter in Meditech for billing purposes
Skills required:
High School Diploma required
Medical Billing Training (preferred but not required)
5 plus years as a Commercial Medical Biller (specifically UB04 electronic billing and paper claims)
Proficient with Electronic Medical Records
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines a plus
Excellent problem solving skills a must
Excellent communication skills required
