We are seeking a full-time Controller who will be responsible for:
  • Working in collaboration with the hospital CEO to ensure all required financial processes are followed in accordance with recognized financial principles.
  • Ensuring accounting and internal control policies, systems and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Overseeing the hospital's financial, purchasing and billing practices plus ensuring that all expenditures and distributions are consistent with policies and procedures. Investigates monthly variances in operating budgets; maintains and submits statistical analysis of fiscal and operations information.
  • Working in collaboration with hospital leadership team and staff members to manage costs while ensuring patient care items are in place to meet the needs of the patients we serve.
  • Assisting department heads in analyzing and interpreting financial data and reports and with presenting that information to their departments.
  • Ensuring accurate information and reports are provided on a timely basis to facility and corporate financial leadership. Assisting with external audits, examinations and financial projects.
  • Directly supervises Central Supply Manager, Health Information Manager, Accountant and Accounting Assistant.
  • Actively participates as a member of the hospital's leadership team which includes serving as Administrator-On-Call on a rotating basis.

Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of three years of successful accounting or finance experience that includes planning, coordinating and evaluating financial activities, preferably in a hospital environment
  • A minimum of one year of successful supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel
